Old Trafford, was build at Manchester, England, it was opened in 1910. Built in 1909. The stadium had a maximum capacity of 76,212 and designed by architect Archibald Leitch. It has frequently hosted football games. It surrounded by four all-seater stands, known as the North, East, South and West Stands. Each stand has at least two tiers except of the South Stand, which only has one tier. The lower tier is split into Lower and Upper sections. It holding 26,000 to nearly 56,000 capacities. It reach around 200 ft in height has four stairwell towers, several lifts and the largest single cantilever roof in Europe. It also houses M.U Museum on 3rd floors and trophy room, restaurant and two layers of executive "Sky" boxes. The South Stand (main stand) contains the manager’s bench area, the directors/ television/ police control boxes and luxury restaurants and executive suites. The player’s tunnel used to be at the centre of this stand but it was moved 1993.The current tunnel is located in the South-West corner of the ground, and doubles as an entrance for the emergency services, the player dressing room, the television interview area, and the player lounge.
The East Stand and south- east corner for M.U fan and disabled section(known as the Scoreboard End large scoreboard at late 60s).Now it replaced by four modern electronic scoreboards situated around the stadium. West stand (Stretford End) originally designed to hold 20,000 fans, the Stretford End was the last stand to be covered and also the last remaining all-terraced stand at the ground before the forced upgrade to seating in the early 1990s.It also has a tinted glass façade, behind which the club's administrative centre is located. The pitch ground measures 106 m long by 69 m wide, with a few meters run-off space on each side. The centre of the pitch is actually about nine inches higher than the edges, allowing surface water to run off more easily. As at many modern grounds, 25 cm under the pitch is an under soil heating system, comprised of 37 km of plastic piping. The grass is watered regularly(less on wet days) and mowed three times a week from April to November and once a week from November to March. Old Trafford has been used for various purposes other than football since its construction such as shinty (traditional game Scottish Highlands), baseball, rugby and concerts. Facilities for transportation are Manchester United FC Halt railway station, Altrincham line of the Manchester Metro link network (ground serviced) and ground's car parks.
